One of the measures drawing a lot of attention is a “red flag” proposal, which would take firearms from someone a court deems to be a danger to themselves or others. Dr. Dennis Petrocelli, a forensic and clinical psychiatrist, provided testimony to the Commission about some of the flaws with the laws and joins Cam to elaborate on his concerns.
We also have an armed citizen story from Texas, a career criminal in Florida who’s now behind bars after trying to shoot up a grocery store, and a police officer in Oklahoma City who saved the day for one of the country’s newest citizens.
