New York Self-Defense: 3 teens charged in connection with attempted robbery, shooting :: 06/15/2018
Three teens are facing charges after a man shot a suspect who tried to steal his car Thursday night on Grand Avenue, off Culver Road in Rochester.
Rochester Police said four men tried to rob the 40-year-old victim of his vehicle and property around 11:30 p.m. Investigators said one of the suspects was armed and threatened the victim.

The victim shot the suspect at least once in the upper body with a legally registered handgun. The injured suspect is in serious but stable condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Jayelon Johnson and Summeran Patterson, both 19, and a 14-year-old have each been charged with attempted robbery in the first degree and attempted grand larceny in the fourth degree.
The victim was unharmed during the robbery.
The investigation is ongoing.
