California Self-Defense: Man killed after trying to rob taco stand :: 03/27/2016
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police say a man was shot to death after he tried to rob a Los Angeles taco stand.
City News Service reports Saturday that a 19-year-old man was killed after the attempted robbery in South Los Angeles.
Los Angeles police Lt. Clint Dohmen says three men walked up to the taco stand late Friday and one pulled out a gun.
Dohmen says one of the stand's employees took out a gun and fired at the alleged robbers, striking one of them. The other two fled on foot.
Dohmen says it appears the employee was acting in self-defense.
